Dumpling
Female
Bully (Definitely part hippo)
9months old
35lbs
Imagine this: it’s 1986 — Mike Tyson just became the youngest heavyweight world champion, Labyrinth just hit theaters, and life is good. Then your kids start begging for a dog, and BAM — a real-life Ello Worm look-alike named Dumpling shows up for adoption.
I mean honestly, who wouldn’t want a 35-pound bowling ball that snorts, bulldozes through life without any concept of personal space, and could probably give Ed Oliver a run for his money in tackling drills?
Sure, she might be part hippo, but this girl’s got heart. She loves dogs of all sizes and doesn’t bat an eye at the small creatures — she’s currently coexisting peacefully with three dogs and three lizards.
Now, fair warning — her leash skills are… let’s just say unique. Walking Dumpling feels a bit like trying to steer a shopping cart with one wobbly wheel and a dream. You’re not walking her — you’re auditioning for a spot on “Dancing with the Paws.”
We do recommend a home with sturdy children… unless, of course, you don’t mind your kid getting leveled by a flying Cam Skattebo wannabe.
And before you ask — yes, Dumpling does have some non-linebacker qualities! She’s fully crate-trained and prefers to eat and sleep there, as long as she’s got a fluffy bed to curl up on.
Dumpling also has a chronic skin condition — it’s something she’ll likely manage for life. Some days it’ll be great, some days a little itchy, but she’s handling it like the queen she is. With love, care, and a comfy bed, she’ll keep shining (and snorting) through it all.
So if you’re ready to add a snorty, wiggly, hippo-esque linebacker to your lineup — apply today before the Buffalo Bills beat you to it.
If you are interested in Dumpling, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
