Meet Marshmallow!
Marshmallow is a 2-year-old, 16 lb Chiweenie who came to us from a large hoarding case of over 30 dogs — and he’s making an incredible comeback! Despite his rough start, this sweet boy has blossomed into a loving, snuggly companion who’s ready to find his forever home.
True to his name, Marshmallow is as soft and sweet as can be. He LOVES cuddles and would happily spend all day curled up in your lap if he could. Once he trusts you, he’s affectionate, loyal, and eager to please. He’s also recently discovered the joy of toys — especially his favorite stuffed animals — and is starting to show his playful, goofy side.
Marshmallow enjoys walks and has plenty of energy when he’s out exploring, but inside he’s all about that cozy couch life. He walks nicely on a leash (though he can be a little jumpy with loud noises) and travels quietly on public transit — he’s a great little adventure buddy!
He’s done wonderfully with other dogs and cats, preferring calm, friendly company over rough play. While he can be unsure around men at first, with patience and positive reinforcement he’s learning that they can be friends too.
Marshmallow is still working on house training and overcoming a bit of resource guarding, but he’s made amazing progress in foster care. With consistency, time, and love, this brave little survivor will continue to thrive.
He’s looking for a calm, loving home — someone who can help him continue to build confidence, celebrate his milestones, and enjoy all the snuggles he’s so eager to give.
