My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gus, or as we like to call him, Gus Gus!

This 1-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog/Poodle mix is a canine comedian with a heart full of love and energy to spare. With his wiggly tail, happy grin, and endless enthusiasm, Gus Gus is the kind of pup who can turn any ordinary day into an adventure!

This handsome dude smart, social, and always ready to play. But like any young pup, he’s eager to soak in as much training as he can get. Gus has spent his first few weeks in foster care at Lone Star State K9, and he has a few new skills to show off. That said, he will need a family committed to daily structure and exercise in order to thrive! From long walks to training sessions, and sometimes a spontaneous zoomie in the yard, he’s game to do it all with you.

If you’re ready for laughter, cuddles, and a little chaos in the best way possible, Gus Gus is your guy.

More about this rescue

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
