Ellie here! I'm the (soon-to-be) one-eyed wonder with a love of everyone I meet. I'm a cuddly, adventerous, and joyful pup, and I'm so excited to meet you. I was originally rescued at the vet because my previous owner was unable to provide the healthcare I needed. Since moving in with my awesome foster, I've been groomed and got all the vet care I need. As you can probably see, I've got advanced glaucoma in one eye. We're going to get that removed so that it does not cause any more pain. I'm mostly blind, but that doesn't stop me from loving life and making friends. I also have a mild heart murmur that has been thouroughly checked out and is nothing to worry about at this time.
I do great with dogs and people of all ages. I'm not sure how I'd feel about cats, but the people caring for me seem to think I wouldn't mind them. I enjoy lots of quality time with my people, going on regular walks, and listening to the sounds of the neighborhood. I may look like a senior, but I've got plenty of good years ahead of me. Animal Aid is dedicated to ensuring I recieve all necessary medical care before sending me home with my forever family, so I'll most likely need to recover from the eye removal before going home. I will eventually need a dental that Animal Aid will pay for.
Want to meet me and fall in love? I'm in a foster home, so visit animalaidpdx.org to fill out an application and schedule a meet and greet.
