Tootsie was brought in by a community member on October 15, 2025

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Tootsie! Tootsie is thriving in her foster home and continues to make wonderful progress! She's improving with leash walking and has met a few other dogs-thanks to slow, thoughtful introductions, she's begun forming positive doggy friendships. She's doing great with crate training and sleeps soundly through the night. Potty training is still a work in progress, so Tootsie will need a patient, loving family committed to reinforcing a calm, positive environment as she continues learning about the world. She tends to warm up to women a bit faster than men, but treats (and kindness!) definitely help. Tootsie is a sweet girl who will blossom with time, consistency, and love.

At SDHS:
Tootsie has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Tootsie is now ready for her new home!
