Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!**
10-22-25: "JAX here, and I am ready to tell you all about me! Let's start with how cute I am, as I am a Corgi mix, and I have those little, short, stubby legs--my ears go up or down, just depends on my mood, lol. I am a gentleman at age 7 but am a little on the chunky monkey side at 21 pounds, so Mom is going to help me shed some of that extra added weight. I have had my vaccines, chipped, neutered and am heart worm negative! My house and crate manners are great--I go right to the door to go out! I walk great on the leash, and fuss just a little when I am crated in the car, but I do calm. My foster Mom got me after I was taken to the local county Animal Control, where my owners took me. They even signed off to have me euthanized! Thank goodness the shelter workers saw thru that and saw the real me! After I spent 10 days in quarantine, Mom wasted no time in getting me out of there! I do love to have all your attention, and I do great with other dogs. I have shown no aggression at all at Animal Control and in my foster home! I do need a home with no small children, and Mom does not know how I am with cats, as she has none."
"Do I sound like a great guy to add to your life? Just email my Mom at citizens4animals@yahoo.com for an application or any questions you may have. For FASTEST reply, EMAIL ONLY, do not call the number listed on here, as the emails are constantly monitored during the day! Calling will delay a response!"
"Till we meet, have the most PAWSome day!"
Love,
JAX

"GOOD VERIFIABLE VET REFERENCE REQUIRED"
We ask all potential adopters to fill out an application for adoption which is sent to them as soon as an inquiry is received. The application is reviewed, and the applicant's vet reference is checked by phone. If the applicant does not have a good vet record, the application is denied. If the applicant is renting a home, we ask for his landlord's name and phone # and check to make certain the applicant is allowed to have a pet. If there are any concerns regarding the application, we bring them to the applicant's attention and ask for clarification. This is done before the applicant meets the pet. We then set up a meeting at a mutually convenient time and place. If the applicant wants the pet, we ask for a check made payable to CFAW at the time the applicant takes the pet. The adoption donation is held for 3-5 days during which the potential adopter can decide whether (or not) he wants to permanently adopt the pet. If he decides not to adopt and returns the pet to us, his check is returned at that time. There is also a Pet Adoption Contract which basically states that the adopter will take good care of the pet. This is signed by both parties.
