Hi, I'm Bruno! I'm an 8-month-old pup with a lot of heart and even more potential. I'll be honest with you—I'm still catching up on some puppy basics because my early months were pretty limited. I came to the shelter as a stray from Chicago Animal Control, and I think I spent my first few months in a small space without much experience with the big, exciting world around me.
But Here's the Good News:
I am incredibly smart and SO eager to learn! I already know "sit" and "touch," and when I figure out what you're asking me to do, you can see the pride and joy light up in me. Making you happy makes me happy—it's truly my favorite thing.
What I'm Looking For:
I need a patient, committed person who understands that I'm still developing:
Training-focused: I thrive with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
