Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A Ragdoll Cattery closed recently. The owner found it was much more work than she expected and decided not to continue. Her website was only up a few years. Purebreds Plus took in a group of her beautiful Ragdolls all of whom are 1-2 years old. Most of them, including Angelika, have microchips which show they were born abroad. This seems to be the protocol of new catteries. The world is getting smaller.
Actually many of the Purebred cats I have fostered this year have microchips showing they were brought from abroad. Jolene, the Persian. Munchkin I just adopted out, had paperwork showing she was shipped here from Korea when she was only 7 weeks old. Just this week I took in a Scottish Fold girl purchased in Ukraine 5 years ago. I myself adopted three kitties through Purebreds from a family moving abroad and found one was from Russia and another from Hong Kong.
Angelika looked very young when she arrived. We guessed she was about 10-12 months old. She looked very little, clearly smaller than the three she arrived with ( Pastel, Sallie, and Alita, all adopted now ). She was very sweet but shy. Her fur was not long. Her nipples look like they have never nursed kittens.
I was intrigued with her partly because she has tufted ears and that is rare on a Ragdoll. Her ears also have an unusual curl to them. This breeder also bred Devon Rexes. Curious, I googled and found there IS a new breed called Devondolls, a cross of Devons and Ragdolls. ??? I have no idea if Angel is a cross but she does have very special, fun ears. In all other ways she is a classic Ragdoll.
In the four or five months we have had her she has grown a great deal. Her coat has come in and is now lush and plush. She is now a fluffy armful. Her confidence has expanded and she is friendly and greets us asking for treats and second helpings. She is fun. She will not be a mature adult til she is in her third year.
Angel does however not want to be a movie star and holding up a cell phone to her elicits a pouty, "Go away I am a diva !" expression. Then she looks down at the floor so it is impossible to get the light to shine on her beautiful blue eyes.
Angel is playful, curious, and loves napping in high places. She enjoys other cats and likes humans who do her bidding. Her new family needs to be trainable and happy to pamper her as she wishes. She is beautiful and she knows it.
Some family will be so lucky to have her loving and entertaining company.
Angelika is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Angelika please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
