My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Zizi was brought in by her previous owner on May 1, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Zizi knows exactly who she is - and she's not here for drama. She prefers a calm, predictable vibe where she can settle in, survey her kingdom (a.k.a. your living room), and decide which cozy spot is best for lounging. She's not shy, just smart enough to take things at her own pace when scoping out new digs. To help her settle in and get used to the sights and sounds of her new home, Zizi would love to start off in a quiet, cozy room of her own. A little confinement in the beginning gives her the chance to adjust comfortably - think of it as her personal VIP suite while she gets familiar with the place. Once she's comfortable, Zizi becomes the ultimate sidekick. She enjoys hanging out nearby, supervising your daily activities and gladly accepts a brushing session now and then - after all, looking fabulous is part of the routine. She's a laid-back kind of gal who appreciates a good window view and chill company. Zizi is looking for a home without the chaos of young kids or dogs. She's all about peace, quiet and quality one-on-one time. Bring a roomy top-loading carrier for her stylish ride home - she's packed and ready to settle into her next great chapter!

Shy/Fearful Cat:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
