My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Stud was brought in by her previous owner on May 1, 2025.

Why Stud might be the the one for you:
This charming and cute tuxedo cat is independent, opinionated and knows exactly what she wants - peace, quiet and a comfy place to call her own. She has been a one person cat so she may take time to get the lay of her new home. Give her the time she needs and you will have a Stud who wants to be petted. She may not be a fan of being picked up but she is social once she warms up. She has been in foster care where her foster says that she purrs a lot and chirps almost like a bird. That may be why one of her favorite activities is bird watching from a safe inside spot. A calm, patient home without the hustle and bustle of a lot of activity would be to Stud's liking - but with a place for watching birds and the outside . If you've got a mellow vibe and a soft spot for cats with strong opinions, Stud might just be your perfect match. !

Shy/Fearful Cat:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
