My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Raven Your Next Great Adventure Buddy! Petite in size but big on spirit, Raven is a sweet, loving, curious, and energetic girl whos always ready to explore the world by your side. Whether its chasing her beloved ball, splashing in the water, or heading out for long, invigorating walks, Raven brings joy, enthusiasm, and a touch of spunk to every moment. And one of the best things about this little beauty: her silky-soft coat barely sheds! Shes a fantastic car companion and thrives when shes close to her people. Raven is the kind of dog who plays with heart and settles beautifully once shes had her fill of fun ideally curled up nearby, keeping a watchful eye on her favorite humans. This smart girl loves having a job to do! Currently in her foster home, her job is keeping the yard free of squirrels a job she takes VERY seriously! Raven is highly intelligent, needing both physical activity and mental stimulation to be her best self shes quick to learn, eager to please, and has already mastered Sit, Down, Stay Back, Inside (to come in from the yard), is working on Heel, and understands Settle. While she can be crated for short periods, it does cause her stress, so a home where she can safely roam and relax is ideal. A fenced yard is a must not only for her safety, but so she can continue her important mission of keeping your yard bunny and squirrel free! Raven would thrive as the only dog in the home or possibly with a well-matched, playful male companion. She hasnt met cats, and due to her prey drive, a cat-free home is probably best. She hasnt been tested with children, but her loving nature suggests shed likely do well with older kids though her enthusiasm might be a bit much for smaller children. She is however very receptive to training, so she could possibly adapt to any situation, as long as the rules are clearly laid out for her and reinforced. If youre looking for a loyal, intelligent, and spirited partner to share lifes adventures with, Raven is ready and waiting to join your journey. All she needs is a loving home, a bit of structure, and someone who appreciates her zest for life. More about this rescue

Thank you for considering adopting a GSRA dog. We love that you are exploring rescuing a GSD. We firmly believe that the adoption of a dog is not one to be taken lightly. Because of this belief, our adoption process is what some would described as lengthy and can be emotional. If you are looking to take a dog home "tomorrow", unfortunately our organization is not for you.
