Misty was surrendered by my neighbor the day she was moving out to escape domestic violence. She told me that he said he would kill the dog if she tried to take it and that she had seen him pick up the dog by the neck at least 4-5 times and choke it. I had her sign a surrender form & I transferred the microchip into my name. Misty is at my friend’s house because the abuser lives next door to me. We are two old women just trying to help this dog find a loving home. They didn’t spay her but I am in the process of getting a spay appointment. I have reached out to rescue organizations but nobody can take her so far. She is a really sweet dog. She is now housebroken and does all her business outside. She walks well on a leash and sits and waits for her supper, and plays well with other dogs and loves her toys. She has met kids under adult supervision with no issues, but hasn’t lived with small kids. Please help this girl have a happy ending in a forever loving home.
