Hi there! My name’s Sweetie, and I promise I live up to my name! I’m a 40-pound bundle of love, wiggles, and squeaky-toy enthusiasm, looking for my forever family. I’m the perfect mix of playful and snuggly—give me a tennis ball or a stuffie and I’ll show off my best fetch moves, then curl up on the couch or in my cozy crate for a nap. I’m house trained, crate trained, and sleep quietly through the night like a good girl. I even know how to sit! My favorite part of the day is just being near my people (and maybe sneaking in a few kisses while I’m at it).
I get along great with other dogs and would love a buddy to romp around with—or I’ll happily soak up all your attention if I’m your one and only. I’m still learning my leash manners, but I’m eager to please and love learning new things. When you come to meet me, be prepared for a big smile and my signature wiggly butt dance! I’ve got a heart full of love just waiting for the right family to share it with—could that be you?
Sweetie is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Her treatment has been completed and she will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Sweetie will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. -------------------------------------------- All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
