My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

`Panchito is a bright, speckled, three-legged sweetheart who came to PACC as a stray after being hit by a car, though you’d never guess it from his sunny spirit. With his white “elbow-high socks,” big floppy ears, and gentle puppy grin, he radiates charm and affection. He’s been healing beautifully from his amputation and, despite the pain meds and recovery time, has already shown himself to be housetraining-ready: no accidents overnight, and he can be trusted for 4–6 hours at home. He’s still learning to vocalize when he needs to go and has had a couple of pee mishaps during recovery, but he reliably uses the yard when let out and would probably thrive with a doggy door. At heart, he’s a tender, trusting boy who may have once belonged to someone—he shows none of the fear or timidity you`d expect from a stray.

Cuddling is Panchito’s love language. He’s a dog-pile kind of pup who always wants to be touching you—sitting in your lap, leaning into your legs, or curling up with his head on your feet. If you’re busy, he’s perfectly content to snuggle a plushie or nap on a sweater that smells like you. He gives incredible hugs, holds hands, and communicates with adorable grunts, murmurs, and little barks to let you know he’s content. Even while healing, this gentle boy has bursts of puppy playfulness: he loves crinkly plushies, natural chews, rope toys he’s still learning about, and hard teethers for his puppy chompers. Tennis balls? He’s still deciding what the big deal is.

Panchito is remarkably responsive and eager to learn. He sleeps through the night, understands “go outside,” “inside,” “go potty,” “no begging,” and will trot over when you whistle. Leash training is just beginning, but he’s already showing promise. He hasn’t met other pets yet due to vaccination and recovery restrictions, but he’s polite, curious, and gentle with kids, taking treats softly and never jumping. His ideal home would be one that celebrates his affectionate, playful nature and helps him continue mastering life as a speedy little tripod. With his cuddly heart, gentle spirit, and sun-powered, siesta-loving personality, Panchito isn’t just adoptable—he’s unforgettable.`
