Tonks is a tender, cautious girl looking for a calm and patient home where she can feel safe and understood. The world can be a bit overwhelming for her, so she'll need a family that values peace and doesn't expect her to be the life of the party.
Once Tonks is comfortable, she shows her sweet and affectionate side. She's happiest when given time, space, and understanding. And once that happens, our volunteers have told us she greets them all wiggly and eager for her walks. She's attentive, knows how to sit and shake her paw for treats, and enjoys taking the time to stop and sniff.
Tonks may enjoy calm, thoughtful introductions with familiar and polite dogs, but she would rather be her adopter's one and only. For this reason, FAS is requiring a home without children or other dogs for Tonks. Primary Color: Fawn Secondary Color: White Weight: 46.2 Age: 1yrs 4mths 2wks

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.
How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.
We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.
Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
