Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are looking for a fine specimen of a large, strong, confident male dog, Hans is your man! With classic Doberman looks, his imposing presence is stunning. However, along with this it is essential that Hans have a strong, confident owner who can teach/train him with positive reinforcement that she/he is the boss, and Hans can relax and no longer needs to be protector of the universe. Hans craves human attention and affection but does not know how to ask for it in a gentle way. Hans arrived at the shelter with Heidi, a more submissive female Doberman, and would probably do well with another dog in the home. If you have the time/money to put into training to make Hans his best self ever, he will be an awesome dog.
Hans recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. He wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he’ll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs. He`s sharing his shelter kennel with a friend he came to the shelter with. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out his playgroup video here:
