Lenore is a gentle, playful soul who absolutely shines in play group. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and loves to invite them into fun, fast-paced games—her favorite move is enticing everyone to chase her! She has great doggie manners, too. If another dog gets a little too pushy or tries to hump her, she’ll offer a fair correction without overreacting.
Because Lenore is still learning to trust people, she would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog who can show her the ropes and help her understand that humans can be safe and kind. She walks nicely on a leash and has recently been enjoying her outings more and more. While she’s still hesitant about being clipped or looped, she has made wonderful progress—she hasn’t tried to bite through a leash lately, and her confidence keeps slowly growing.
Lenore is not yet comfortable with being pet, but she will take treats and is beginning to show signs that she’s ready to build a bond in her own time. With patience, compassion, and a steady dog companion to guide her, this sweet girl has so much potential.
Lenore is looking for a calm, understanding home that will celebrate her small victories and help her continue blossoming. With the right family, she’s sure to become a truly devoted companion. 🐾🖤

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
