Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lulu is a sweet, petite pup who is dreaming of a Hallmark movie-esque second half of her story. She’s a resilient little girl who constantly impresses her volunteer friends in the shelter. She was kept outside in a dog run for the first five years of her life, never knowing a comfy couch or daily snuggles with her people. You can imagine that she would be nervous and unsure about people, having had that start to her life. But, despite these challenges, she has shown herself to be a loving girl who craves human affection and companionship!! She has warmed up and opened up during her stay in the shelter- here’s what some of her friends have said:
“I worked with Lulu this morning. She was ready to go in the kennel, leashed easily, and walked well. She loves to sniff along the way on our walk. We found a grassy area to sit down and she approached me immediately for affection.”
“This morning Lulu and I had a delightful time. She moved to the other side when I entered the kennel, but when her kennelmate came to get loved up, she wanted in on it, too. She accepted scratches and pets, then leashed easily. She walked well to the park, with lots of sniffing. At sitdown she approached for affection and treats, got plenty of pets, scratches and rubs. Good walk!”
Lulu has shared her kennel with another PACC pup and may benefit from having a well- matched, confident furry friend who can show her the ropes in her future home.
If we were to write a Hallmark movie script about Lulu, we would call it “Lulu’s Wish”, about a perfectly gentle little pup who dreams of a safe, comfortable home where she’s welcomed indoors and adored by a patient, understanding furever family. On a day she’s not expecting it, her new family comes to the shelter and makes her wish come true! That family could be you! Come meet Lulu today!
