Meet the Pet
Take the Pet Home
- Loves booty scratches and just wants all the love; very sweet and likes to be close to you
- Likes to connect with people through play and other activities; will likely enjoy physical activity and mental challenges to keep his mind and body busy
- Super goofy and loves all toys
- Can be shy and may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up more in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home
- Does well in the car and enjoys exploring new places; may want to sit in your lap on drives
- Foster family said he was very respectful when allowed to roam and explore their home on his own
- May be socially awkward with other dogs, but may enjoy like-minded dog friends (dog intro recommended)
- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)
This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
