Meet Purdy (formerly Ally)

Purdy is an adorable Beagle mix born around March 2025. She was found in an alleyway at just three months old, hungry and in poor condition. With care and love, she made a full recovery and was soon adopted into a home of her own. Unfortunately, her adopter could no longer keep her, and Purdy has returned to ITV to find the forever family she truly deserves.

Purdy is a sweet and gentle young dog who gets along wonderfully with children, other dogs, and even cats. Her friendly, easygoing personality makes her a perfect fit for a loving family home. After a rough start in life, she’s ready to share her affection and loyalty with people who will cherish her forever.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
