Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Currently living at our Santa Barbara Campus, Ferdy is our 10 year old Miniature Poodle with a heart as soft as his curly coat. This little man has seen a lot in his years, and he’s ready to spend his golden days soaking up love, snuggles, and sunshine in a forever home. Ferdy truly is the definition of gentle. He enjoys slow walks, cozy naps on soft blankets, and being near his friends. He may not bounce around like a puppy anymore, but his quiet companionship is a true comfort.
Like many seniors, Ferdy may come with a few quirks. He moves at his own pace, and he might need a bit of extra care for his joints or daily routine. But every minute with him is a reminder of the joy that comes from slowing down and savoring life’s little moments. Ferdy would thrive living with someone who understands that love only deepens with age — someone with a soft spot for gray muzzles and gentle souls. In return, he promises unconditional love, soulful eyes that say “thank you,” and the kind of peaceful presence only an old dog can bring. If you believe that senior dogs make the best friends (and we think they do!), Ferdy would love to meet you. After all, you may not have him for the rest of your life, but he'll have the rest of his life with you.
Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission.
