My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💕 Meet Sadie – The Perfect Family Companion! 💕

🐾 Age: 3 years
🐾 Weight: 35 lbs
🐾 Breed: Mixed Breed
🐾 Status: Fully vetted, heartworm negative, and on prevention

Sadie is an absolute gem — the kind of dog every family dreams of! She’s house trained, leash trained, and crate trained (though she’s so well-behaved she doesn’t even need one!).

Sadie loves an active, playful lifestyle — she’s a pro at fetch, loves chasing a frisbee, and proudly carries around her favorite toy: a stick horse! She’s also known to join in on all the family fun, whether it’s jumping on the trampoline with the kids or hopping on the 4-wheeler for an adventure.

She’d do best with older children (no toddlers, since her excitement could accidentally knock them over) and must be kept indoors as a loved family member — no exceptions.

Sadie hasn’t been tested with cats or livestock. She does have a bit of prey drive — she once caught a rabbit in the yard — so a home without small animals would be best. That said, she’s very responsive and easily redirects when told “no.”

Sadie truly is the total package: loyal, loving, playful, and eager to please. She’s ready to be your best friend and join in every part of your family’s life.

More about this rescue

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
