My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rizzo — the Sweet Senior with a Young Heart! 💕🐾

Don’t let the number fool you — RIZZO is supposed to be 12, but she certainly doesn’t act like it! This beautiful brindle girl still has plenty of pep in her step and so much love to give. RIZZO is gentle, affectionate, and always happy to be part of the action (or a cozy nap session!).

She’s wonderfully housebroken, sleeps through the night, and comes when called — a true lady with impeccable manners. RIZZO loves her crate, enjoys her meals, and never jumps up on people. She travels like a pro, hopping in and out of a low car with ease, and she’s a star on leash walks.
Rizzo has also done great with her foster sister, showing she’s got a friendly and easygoing nature.

If you’re looking for a loyal, low-drama companion who still has plenty of happy years ahead, RIZZO might just be your perfect match. This sweet senior girl is ready to find her forever family — could it be you? ❤️

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
