Named after F1’s own Max Verstappen, this little guy lives up to his speedy reputation. Max is quick on his feet and even quicker with his wits—he may not be the dominant pig in the pair, but he’s definitely the brains of the operation.
While his cage mate Oscar will happily trot right up to say hello, Max prefers to hang back and observe before joining in. He’s a bit hesitant at first, but once he feels safe, he settles in comfortably and shows his gentle, thoughtful nature.

Personality: Hesitant, Inquisitive, Smart.
Favorite treats: Bell pepper
Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Guinea Pig Food, Fruit, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy & Orchard Mix, Vitamin C Tablets
Favorite toys and activities: Puzzle toys, finding hidden veggies
Potty trained: No
This animal’s daily routine: Full cage clean weekly; spot clean twice daily. Pellets & vitamin C tab in the morning, leafy greens & veggies in the evening. Hay & water 24/7
BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Max Furstappen & Oscar Pigastriare are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the PetSmart - 1640 New Brighton Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55413 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
Fee: Max Furstappen & Oscar Pigastri have a combined adoption fee of $60

MN Pocket Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization primarily serving the Twin Cities Metro Area, focusing on education and public outreach. Our intent is to keep all animals in their homes, with their families, whenever possible. We are committed to rescuing those pocket pets that are in jeopardy of being euthanized or are in danger of being abused, left unattended or in other types of vulnerable situations. We ensure all animals receive proper veterinary care, medication and special training for any behavioral issues, as well as to arrange safe, temporary homes for these animals until stable forever homes can be found. Our team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who work passionately to serve the underrepresented and often misunderstood niche of pocket pets in the overall rescue community and general public.
