My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Salad—lightly dressed in fluff, tossed in drama, and served with a side of sass.  I’m a shy little leaf at first, but once I know you’re safe, I’ll rub on your legs like I’m seasoning you for dinner and purr like a blender full of gravy.  I’m raising four wild boy kittens who think chaos is a competitive sport. I handle their nonsense with the grace of a cat who’s seen things… like the inside of a toddler’s sock drawer. I’m not a fan of older cats or dogs, but I’ll tolerate them like wilted lettuce in a fancy salad—present, but not the star.  I once adopted a kitten like it was my sworn duty, and I’ll do the same for my forever humans. Fierce loyalty, gentle love, and a strong opinion about who gets to sit on the couch? That’s me.  Adopt me, and I’ll be your emotional support vegetable. Together we’ll build a life of quiet snuggles, wet food negotiations, and absolutely no unsolicited barking. Dressing optional, love guaranteed.

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
