My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny and Alastair were rescued from a hoarding case in Highland Park. Penny's foster says: Penny is such a little doll. She has a tiny face and a big personality. We call her Stomps, because how can something so small have such loud feet? She has found her voice and she talks (and duets lol) with my partner. She’s a curious girl and likes to see what’s going on. But she’s not mischievous; they both will look around and sniff, but never get into things. She loves chasing around her little sparkle balls. She recently discovered that pillows can also be beds. Life changing knowledge!
They are not cats that will wake you up at 5am. They like to sleep in. They’ll sometimes investigate what I’m up to while I’m getting ready in the morning, but otherwise they snooze & cuddle with each other all day. In the evenings they’ll hang out around us until it’s time to go back to bed. We don’t know how old they are.

We'll be sad to see them go, but so excited for them to settle into their forever home. They're so sweet and deserve a family who love them!

Additional adoption info

All adoptions require an adoption application and home check to be pre-approved. Once those are complete, there is an adoption contract and $150 adoption donation in order to complete the adoption and take your kitty home.

As a foster based rescue, all meet and greets must be scheduled in advance; either in the foster's home, or at an adoption event.

More about this rescue

We are a small grassroots rescue based out of Northeast Los Angeles. We focus on reducing suffering through high volume TNR* and street rescue of community cats in Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Glassell, and Cypress Park. All of our rescues come from active TNR locations either as kittens, or friendly adults who have been abandoned. We make sure everyone is fixed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and microchipped, as well as nursing them back to health as necessary, before adopting them out to their forever homes.

*Trap Neuter Return is the most effective way to limit the number of cats entering shelters and reduce euthanasia rates
