My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.

Pretty Princess's story will break your heart. At just two years old, her world had been limited to a tether and a life meant only for breeding. Despite her rough start, she has the sweetest temperament. She loves every person she meets and wants to cuddle!

Pretty Princes recently went into a foster home and has proven to be wonderfully low maintenance. She has adjusted to her new routine quickly. She is easy on the leash, well-behaved in the car, and does not resort to chewing or destroying anything when left alone. However, she does have reactivity toward other dogs. We are not surprised by this. She came with multiple wounds suggesting she had been attacked by other dogs. Pretty Princess is also heart worm positive and currently undergoing treatment.

Do unicorns exist? We believe they do and we’re searching for one now. Pretty Princess is waiting for that special foster or adopter who is willing to keep her as an only dog. In return, Pretty Princess will shower you with love, gratitude, and cuddles.

Age: 2 years

Weight: 50 lbs

Temperament: Gets along with older considerate kids

Training: Housetrained,  has some basic training

Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm treatment paid for and underway

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.

Additional adoption info

You will be asked to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/dh-adoption) and allow a home visit to ensure the pet is a good fit for your home/lifestyle.

We are primarily a placement service, so the adoption fees vary depending on each pet and what caretakers have invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.

Go meet their pets

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, but follow our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/doggieharmony) for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested in, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so please understand that we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

More about this rescue

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.
