Meet little Freddy, a young pup with a sparkly personality that is poised to be your next totable adventure buddy!
Freddy is a young pup with a big personality who’s ready to join you on life’s adventures! This little fluffball may have started life with some challenges, but thanks to his loving foster family, he’s blossomed into a happy and playful companion. At just under a year old, Freddy is slowly catching up on how to be a well-behaved pet! He loves other dogs (big or small), enjoys his walks, and has endless enthusiasm for toys and playtime. He’s crate-trained, does well being left alone, is learning outdoor potty habits, and faces bath time like a champ. Freddy's time as a stray and at a shelter has left him with some trust, confidence, and guarding issues, but like many young pups, he’s still learning about sharing and respecting boundaries. In the short time he's spent with his foster family, he has responded positively to his foster family's training to overcome his challenges. He’ll thrive with a patient, dog-savvy adopter who understands what it takes to build trust and is willing to continue guiding him as he grows into the best version of himself. A quieter home without young children would be ideal, as he can get overwhelmed with too much noise or chaos. If you’re looking for a loving little sidekick, Freddy is ready to steal your heart!

Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
