Personality: Happy-go-lucky dog, he is always wagging his tail and loves to be called a good boy. Easy temperament around dogs and cats. He is a sweet loving dog who seeks to please his humans and loves being around and cuddling, giving and receiving love. He greets you with excitement every time you walk in the room. Paul is great at home, mellow and easy temperament around his foster brothers, even his cat foster brother!

Education: He is good on the leash and doesn't pull. He is working on not marking his territory.

Favorite Activities: Loves going on walks and to the beach. Enjoys being with his humans, getting pets and cuddles

Looking For: Paul would make a great addition to any home ready to love him, ideally where someone is more often with him than not and can take him on adventures! He is the ideal dog mellow when you want to be and active when you are ready to play. He will do great in a home with kids, other dogs, or even cats!

We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.
Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.
All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.
All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise.
Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000.
Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc.

Overview
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters and off the streets of Mexico. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.
