Sweet Nellie, a 1.5-year-old Husky/Heeler mix, has done her job as a devoted mama to 6 beautiful pups — now it’s her turn to be cared for. 💕 She was recently surrendered with her babies, and with her pups now weaned, Nellie really needs a safe, loving foster home to rest, decompress, and learn what it means to be her own dog again.
🌼 What we know about Nellie:
• Social and affectionate once she feels safe — bonds quickly to her people 🥹
• Warms up to other dogs (just needs slow intros)
• Crate trained — but needs an enclosed crate (she’s got hops! 🐇)
• Still learning house manners — including that tables aren’t for standing on 😅
• Smart, eager, and ready to blossom with some patience, training, and structure

We will do an over the phone or in person interview with our adoption counselor.

Home Check
We will need a video of your home. We need to see the front numbers of your home, a quick inside walk through and a detailed backyard video.
3.
Meet the Pet
Meet and greets are done at events or at foster homes. These include all members of the family including all pets.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Adoption contract will be completed before dog is allowed to come home.
5.
Pay Fee
Adoption fee is range by the age of the dog.
6.
Take the Pet Home
Pets will only be taken home at our adoption events so all paperwork can be given.

If for any reason we see signs of the dog or puppy not doing well in the meet and greet we will remove them from the situation. Foster to adopt is available for many adult dogs.
