My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.

A volunteer writes: The Esther I meet is not the same dog she was a few days ago. Initially, she was shell shocked and shy, but this girl is anything but that. Her tail was tucked, ears alert and she avoided cuddles. Now she is full of life and energy, zooming back and forth across the yard. Esther adores all things fun, jumping around with her toys to get some of her energy out. Esther has even been chosen as the helper dog at the shelter with other dogs. She has a high energy and loves to play. When she's feeling u comfortable, she will appropriately create space between her and the other dog. She naturally takes break between bouts of play with other dogs, before reinitiating a game of chase. Esther was found as a stray on Flushing Avenue with a harness and leash but no human to be found.
