Noodles is a medium-sized brindle girl with a soft middle, a lot of opinions, and a very expressive voice. She may be a little round in the middle (clearly she’s enjoyed a few good meals in her day), and honestly? Same.
She’s a talkative little lady who will happily let you know when she’s excited or when she thinks it’s time for a little more attention. Goofy, quirky, and completely herself, Noodles knows how to sit, appears to be housebroken, and does well with other dogs though she’s perfectly content to party on her own as well.
Noodles is just under two years old, heartworm negative, and full of personality. She came to us over a month ago from Pass Christian Animal Control and was supposed to go home once already… but her person didn’t come through. So now she’s still here, cracking jokes, wagging her tail, and waiting for someone who actually means it.
She doesn’t need perfection — just a second-chance human who will show up and stay. If you’re looking for a dog who’s a little silly, a little sad, and a whole lot lovable, Noodles is ready to noodle her way into your life.

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
