My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nick is a gentle giant with a whole lot of love tucked into his big, handsome frame. He’s sweet, a little shy at first, and incredibly affectionate once he feels safe. If you walk into a room and sit on the floor, Nick won’t hesitate—he’ll make a beeline straight for your lap, complete with enthusiastic headbutts to say hello. Nick enjoys lounging in the cubby of his cat tree, surveying the room from above, watching out the window, and keeping an eye on outside activities. He likes wand toys but he’d much rather relax in your lap and soak up all your attention.

Nick, along with his littermates Kevin and Popeye, was adopted from our rescue as small kittens and sadly returned over two years later. Since coming back into foster care, he has shown that he has no behavioral or medical issues—just a tender heart that needed a little time to adjust. It might take him a couple of days, but treats (and his love of affection) quickly will win him over. Now he’s happily seeking out cuddles and lap time.

Nick is looking for a forever home where he never has to worry about losing his person again. Although he would love if he could be adopted with his brother Kevin, he can go as a single kitty. If you’re searching for a devoted lap kitty with a gentle soul, Nick just might be your perfect match.

MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Go to  https://www.kittenrescue101.org/adopt/available-cats and Click "adopt" on the cat's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process. (NOTE: If the kitten is a bonded pair, do not apply for him/her as a single kitten. These applications will not be considered) We do not adopt out single kittens. Potential adopter must have an existing young kitty

2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days with an appointment time slot. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament. We cannot call back every applicant with an update. You will receive a call if your application is selected. Thank you for your understanding.

More about this rescue

We are a small home based rescue serving the San Joaquin & Bay Area. It is our mission to rescue cats and kittens and provide them with supportive medical care, socialization, food, shelter to reduce unnecessary suffering. All of our kittens/cats are rescues and we try our best to place them into adoptable homes. Without human intervention, many of these cats & kittens would suffer from disease, starvation, death or live outdoors the remainder of their lives- afraid of humans. With a little bit of help, socialization, and lots of love, they come to learn and seek human attention and affection. We believe that all animals deserve a chance at life.
