Meet Whiskey, one of the pups from our Swifties group. Foster mom says that he is the gentlest, sweetest soul you will ever meet! Whiskey is a 3.5 year old, 12 lb SilkyTerrier mix. He and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Whiskey has already become a favorite in his foster home. He is a cuddle champion, happiest snuggled beside one of his people or one of his beloved toys. Completely crate and potty trained, he's a polite little gentleman who just wants to be near his people. Whiskey does wonderfully with other small dogs, but big dogs can be a little scary for him. He needs a patient adopter to help him feel safe, but once he does, you will become his whole world. Whiskey has heartworms because he wasn't kept on heartworm prevention. Humane Tomorrow will pay for his treatment with our partner vet, and the treatments are very successful. Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
