My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasmine!
This stunning gal has an estimated age of 4 to 5 yrs. We have not had her around cats so that’s an unknown! She has a gorgeous brown coat and very expressive eyes!

Let’s hear what her foster Mom has to say!

Jasmine is one of the happiest dogs that I have ever met and I have met a lot of dogs as a trainer.
She seems to be drawn to women and has become my sweet shadow.
Jasmine is smart and sweet, exuberant and loving.
She loves her daily walks and her leash training is going very good!
She is house trained and crate trained 😃
Playing with my personal dog Miller is the highlight of her day.
I feel that Jasmine would do really well and enjoy agility training, she’s so smart.
Jasmine also enjoys car rides 😊
But MOST of all, Jasmine would love to have a home to call her own!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to find loving, lifelong homes for our dogs.

We require an adoption application, a home inspection, and $250 adoption donation. This helps pay for medical care, dog food, and supplies.

To ensure we find the best homes for dogs in our care, our adoption process involves several steps. Adopting a dog requires a commitment of love and responsibility for the welfare of the animal, just as you would have for a human member of your family. Please consider the challenges that come with owning a dog as these challenges are often the reason many pets end up in shelters.

1. Complete our online adoption application: http://www.k9newlife.org/adoption-application.html

2. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you.

3. A home check is done to ensure the dog will live in a suitable environment.

4. A meet and greet will be arranged for the adopter and the dog(s) of interest.

5. An adoption contract must be completed to finalize the adoption process.

Prior to adoption, all of our dogs receive a general veterinary checkup, vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test (treatment, if necessary), heart worm/flea/tick prevention, and spay/neuter.

More about this rescue

K-9 New Life is an all breed, no-kill dog rescue organization located in southeast Virginia. We are registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The mission of K-9 New Life is to take in dogs from shelters when they have run out of time or are injured or too sick for the shelters to handle. We provide them with health care, rehabilitation, training, and a loving foster home until they can be adopted. Our focus is to give these less fortunate dogs a second chance to live the life they deserve.
