Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Provolone is the kind of rabbit people dream of — the perfect blend of dog, cat, and bunny all wrapped into one irresistibly cuddly package.
Like a dog, Provolone runs right up to greet you when you enter the room, eager for attention and especially enthusiastic if you happen to be carrying food. Like a cat, he loves curling up beside you for long naps and quiet cuddle sessions, happily soaking up pets and affection. And like a true bunny, he adores gentle nose kisses, keeps a tidy litter box, and seeks out cozy spots for lounging throughout the day.
Provolone is affectionate, social, and fearless in most situations, making him a wonderful
companion for a busy, loving home. He does startle at sudden noises or movements, so having a safe hideaway to bolt to helps him feel secure. He enjoys the company of dogs and children and would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention and interaction throughout the day.
This sweet boy loves food and isn’t picky. He enjoys free-roaming but tends to choose a favorite room where he happily spends most of his time. Hardwood floors aren’t his favorite, but he’ll scamper across them if needed. His only real mischief is a fondness for cotton fabrics and the occasional tempting wire, and easy to manage with bunny-proofing.
“He is a joy to have in the family,” his foster says. “Please love him and give him all the affection you can. He really is a special loving rabbit.” If you are looking for a rabbit who wants to greet you, nap with you, and shower you with affection, Provolone is ready to be your devoted companion.
Provolone is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy veterinarian once a year.

More about this rescue
Since 1988, House Rabbit Society, its supporters, small staff, local chapters, licensed educators, and other volunteers around the globe have been advocating for the care and well-being of rabbits.
Our goal is to help people see rabbits as intelligent and social pets who thrive indoors. HRS’ mission, philosophy, and policies have influenced the formation of many other nonprofit rabbit rescue groups and set a standard for the treatment and respect of domesticated rabbits. As a nonprofit, we rely on membership support and other donations–large and small. HRS financial documents are provided below, which record our programmatic efforts over the past decade.
