My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Pillsbury, and before you ask - no, I'm NOT the doughboy! I'm actually quite the opposite: long, lean, and dare I say, rather noble-looking. Think less "pop 'n fresh" and more "runway model with a PhD in Good Manners."

Sure, I've got that youthful puppy energy that keeps life exciting, but I also come with some pretty impressive life skills. I'm already potty-trained, I walk beautifully on a leash, and once we're outside together, I'm a total gentleman. Now, I'll be honest - sometimes I bark in my kennel because, well, I'd really like some attention and maybe a friend to hang out with. But the moment we're out and about? I'm cool, calm, and collected.

When it comes to following instructions, I'm your guy - I look to my handler like they're the most important person in the world (because they are!). I know "sit," I take treats with the gentleness of a prince at a royal banquet, and I'm basically a straight-A student in the school of being an awesome dog. My superpower? Being a very smart boy who actually LISTENS.

And good news for anyone hoping for a dog with solid social skills: I've been to playgroup! I started off a little guarded (wouldn't you, if someone was pouncing on you right away?), but I handled my overly-enthusiastic female partner like a true gentleman. After warming up, I settled in, let loose, and had myself a good time. Before long, I was bouncy, silly, and genuinely enjoying one-on-one play with my new friend.

If you're interested in learning more about me, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject "Pillsbury, 265137".

I am up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, am microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
