My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blaine-The Energetic Sweetheart with a Big Heart and a Bigger Ball Drive! Blaine may be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he trusts you, his affectionate and loyal nature shines through. He loves to be close to his people and is happiest when he can curl up on the couch or snuggle in bed at night. This smart boy is house-trained and crate-trained, and hes already familiar with living indoors. He walks decently on leash and is working on perfecting the heel command hes eager to please and learns quickly with consistency and patience. When it comes to playtime, Blaine is all in! He has very high energy and an amazing ball drive, so daily exercise is essential. His ideal day includes a good walk and a fun backyard ball session. Because hes such a fast runner and loves to chase, a secure, fenced yard is a must. He plays politely with other dogs and enjoys a good game of chase he can keep up with anyone! Blaine will need a confident handler who can keep him safe if he spots a squirrel or small animal on walks hes strong and quick, so an attentive person on the other end of the leash is key. As for quirks, hes a fast eater (a slow feeder bowl helps), a bit of a messy drinker, and yes he thinks toilets are water fountains! Keeping lids down and a towel handy will make life easier. With love, structure, and plenty of playtime, Blaine will continue to be an amazing, devoted companion. If youre looking for an energetic, affectionate dog who will delight you every day, he might just be your perfect match. More about this rescue

Thank you for considering adopting a GSRA dog. We love that you are exploring rescuing a GSD. We firmly believe that the adoption of a dog is not one to be taken lightly. Because of this belief, our adoption process is what some would described as lengthy and can be emotional. If you are looking to take a dog home "tomorrow", unfortunately our organization is not for you.
