Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Pickles
Pickles is a 2½-year-old hound who came to us as a stray near DeKalb High School. Despite our efforts, no owner ever came forward to claim her. When she arrived, she was clearly underweight and had likely been fending for herself for quite some time.
Even so, Pickles has the sweetest spirit. She is friendly, gentle, and eager to connect with people. We will have her spayed, heartworm tested, and fully vaccinated before adoption to ensure she’s ready for her new beginning.
Pickles would thrive in an active home or with a family that has a large yard where she can run, explore, and soak up all the attention she’s been missing. Her hound nature makes her curious and playful, and she’ll make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys the outdoors.
If you’re looking for a loving dog who’s ready to leave her past behind and embrace a brighter future, Pickles would love to meet you. 💛An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are a donation of choice.
