Hi! I am Opie! Yes, I was named after the show Sons of Anarchy, along with my 2 other siblings, Jax & Clay! You may have read about me, I was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation in Carlisle, PA. I was the smallest kitten in the house, but I have grown so much and I am so happy & healthy now that I am in my foster home with my sister, Jax! We are a bonded pair, so we must go together because we rely so much on each other!

I love to play with Jax and my foster family. There are kids here, so I am kid-friendly as well as other cat friendly! I am a pretty low maintenance guy, but I do love to lay on my sister and play with her every chance I get! I am very friendly with my human fosters and love to engage in play and snuggles all day long!

I will be fully vetted and ready to be adopted on December 6th. I am FIV/FELV negative, and will come neutered, up to date on my vaccines and microchipped! I would love to find my furever family! Could we be the perfect pair for you? Please apply for me and Jax at www.castawaycritters.org/adopt.

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
