MEET COCO!
Background:
Coco was a transfer to the Chesapeake Humane Society from another local shelter. She is a calm and affectionate dog who loves to be near people. She also knows some basic commands and is eager to learn more.
Ideal Home:
Coco would do well in a variety of homes, but would thrive in a home with someone who can give her lots of attention and love. She is good with other dogs and would make a great companion for someone who already has a dog. Coco is also good with children and would be a great family dog.

You are welcome to visit the animals in residence with us on a walk-in basis Tuesday through Saturday 12AM to 4PM. Sunday meetings are by appointment only. We are closed on Mondays. Please feel free to call or email for an appointment to meet our adoptable pets.
We pride ourselves on offering one-on-one private adoption counseling. Once you have completed your adoption application (online) an adoption counselor will contact you for a private interview.
Our adoption fees and requirements vary based on each individual animal's needs. We work hand-in-hand with our adoption clients and hand-in-paw with our pets to make the best adoption matches.
In spite of our efforts, we understand that sometimes relationships fail. If at any time an adopter needs assistance with their new family member or finds it necessary to return their companion animal, we will respectfully work with that client to determine the best outcome for the animal.
