As the leaves started to change color, a little sapling began to grow at SNIPSA. But Elm wants to take root in your heart instead!
Born into a litter of eight, this boy has been growing up in foster care for the last few weeks. Most recently, though, he has branched out on his own to connect with a special family! Elm is almost four months old and full of sweet, dopey personality. He enjoys his playtime with other dogs but appreciates an afternoon gnawing on a rope toy or napping on a soft blankie, too. This cutie also loves getting his belly rubbed, and he will be sure to ask for his pets with a goofy smile and an eyebrow raise. Those wrinkles make him a little extra convincing, don't you think?
Elm's breed has us stumped, but one thing is for certain: he will make the most loyal companion whom you can depend on! His long legs and floppy ears lead us to believe that he will reach around 50 pounds (or more) once he matures. Just make sure to water him, give him lots of fresh air, and spend plenty of time with him so he can thrive! Welcome in the wrinkles this holiday season. Apply to meet Elm!

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
