My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My adoption fee is generously sponsored so you can put that towards extra treats and toys for me :)

There is an adorable video of me on social media! Click here to experience the cuteness!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I'll need daily interaction with you as I get used to my new life.

I am playful and cute!

I will need appropriate toys and positive outlets for my energy.

It could be with you! Click here to learn more about the adoption process!

I can go home today!

A Volunteer Wrote: Willow would like to invite you to a wiggle party, although we'll tell you upfront that no matter how much you train, there is no chance you can out-wiggle this enthusiast! Willow is so happy to get any kind of attention she wags her entire body, especially when it involves a hug, a treat, and an attempted kiss. Willow's been a little shy on the street here--it can be a stressful time for the dogs, both being in the shelter and leaving it--but at the backyard she shows off her exuberant spirit, her excellent fetching skills, and her adorable joie de vivre. We're so eager to see her in a wonderful home--please consider letting it be yours!

My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: We took Willow out today and she should be renamed to Wiggles. Willow gets so excited she doesn't just wag her tail, she wags her entire body. We had the best time out on this freezing day with this chunky chunky girl. Willow pulls a little on leash when she is excited but it's totally manageable and she has really good recall and name recognition which make her pulling and excitement easily redirectable. Willow knows how important sweet treats are to daily happiness so she doesn't discriminate on types of treats she loves everything from a pup cup to a jerky to a beef liver. We also took Willow to a coffee shop and weren't sure how'd she do but she did great. She didn't bark and she was a great coffee companion after she was able to get the lay of the land and settle in. Willow is a staff, volunteer and my favorite and it makes no sense to any of us how she's been looked over for 151 days. As Manhattan ACCs longest stay, Willow would love to become a new member of your family and I'd love to see her leave with you!! Adopt Willow TODAY!!!
