My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Moderate Arthritis

Are you looking for twice the love? Beckett and Berkley are a bonded pair who bring out the very best in each other and are hoping to find a forever home together. Beckett and Berkley have both been cat tested but appear to be rather timid and unsure of cats. They also could get along with other calm yet confident dogs around their size. They both love walks, attention, and all the love they can get.

Becket is around 7 years and what we guess to be a mix of a labrador and a golden retriever... what we do know is that is 100% handsome boy! Beckett has moderate arthritis in his back end. If you were to meet him, you may notice he bunny hopes a little when he gets moving too quickly. He has seen a vet and had x-rays to review his needs, with proper weight maintenance and ongoing joint support he should be "golden" into his senior years.

Berkley is around 4 years old and is a gentle, timid soul who needs a patient person to help her continue building her confidence. Once she feels safe, her affectionate side shines - she loves attention and being close to her people. She is food and praise motivated, making her a great training partner, and she walks beautifully on a leash.

Together, Berkley and Beckett are the perfect balance - gentle, loyal, and eager to love. If you're looking for a pair that will fill your home with sweetness and companionship, these two are ready to brighten your world. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes their spay/neuter, microchips, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, current on vaccinations and preventatives, and as indoor only pets. Our adoption process includes a background check, home visit, and vet history check. If you would like to meet these two love bugs, please fill out an adoption application on our website, Adopthope.org.
