Meet Reptar — just like his Rugrats namesake, this adorable lop is full of personality and charm! Reptar came to SDHRS in November of 2025, and he has kept his bright, gentle spirit shining every step of the way. Reptar loves the simple joys in life: fresh hay, crunchy veggies, and lots of cozy lounging time. He may take a bit to settle in and assess his surroundings, but once he feels safe, his playful and curious side comes out. Whether he’s exploring his space or relaxing in a comfy spot, Reptar brings a happy, peaceful energy wherever he goes. He’s hoping to find a forever family who will give him the patience, love, and steady care he deserves. Reptar prefers not to be picked up, but he truly enjoys the company of people and loves being near his humans.
If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will reward your kindness with trust and affection, Reptar might be your perfect match. He’s ready to brighten your home and become your new best friend!

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv

More about this rescue
We are a volunteer-driven organization working in San Diego County for nearly 25 years. We want to ensure that rabbits are not adopted out unaltered, that they find good homes where they will be cherished as indoor family companions, and that we educate our community on the responsible care of indoor rabbit companions.
