Sign Adoption Contract
Hi! I’m Hippy, the original OG -“velvet hippo”. I’ve come a long way - I came to AAP with a skin condition, no hair and was very withdrawn but I’m doing so much better after some TLC! I love getting the zoomies outside but once inside I make a bee-line to the couch and am an instant couch potato, laying up against you snoring with zero shame. I’m starting to understand playing with a ball and absolutely love a good chew toy! I’m the absolute sweetest 1 year old girl who prefers all the attention - best with no other dogs. I will give you all the love you will ever need!
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.
We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.
We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.
We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

We perform vet and landlord checks if necessary and will contact you if your application is approved.
Meet the Pet
If approved, a volunteer will bring the dog to your home for a meet & greet and home check.
Sign Adoption Contract
If the adoption representative and you agree the dog is a good fit for your family, you will complete the adoption contract and pay the fee.
