My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In early 2025, The Operation Save a Shelter Dog was contacted about three dogs that were tethered on chains and abandoned by their owners who moved away. The rescue took swift action to help the dogs only to realize, one of them, Arabella, was pregnant. Soon after, Arabella gave birth to a mix of 11 (7 girls and 4 boys) healthy and happy puppies.

Born on February 27, 2025, Xavier Colin is a Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is estimated to weigh between 25-40 pounds when full grown. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed.

He is being fostered in Hampton, VA and can be transported to nearby locations for the right home. Please note, a transport fee may apply.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
