Meet Anica, an adorable 5-year-old Beagle–Dachshund mix with a heart as warm as her big brown eyes. This sweet, friendly girl is curious about everything the world has to offer—whether she’s sniffing around on outdoor adventures or trotting happily beside you. But don’t let her love of exploring fool you; Anica is also a champion snuggler who’s happiest curled up in someone’s lap, soaking in all the affection she can get. With her gentle nature and joyful spirit, Anica is ready to fill her forever home with love, companionship, and plenty of tail wags.

For many years, BHS (Beatrice Humane Society) has been sheltering abandoned animals, fighting cruelty and neglect, and working to build a caring, compassionate community here in Beatrice Nebraska.

Although we have lots of volunteers and members, we are really nothing more than a single entity saying “Yes, I want to help!”.
