My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
House trained: Almost!

Ben is an adorable pup with a heart full of love and curiosity. He is a gentle soul who is the kind of friend every person and pup would be lucky to have!

While Ben can be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and soon shows his affectionate, playful side. He gets along with other dogs of all ages and loves playing with them. He has not met a cat yet, but would likely be fine. Ben has met children and absolutely adores them.

Ben is a fast learner and eager to please. He is fully crate trained and sleeps soundly in his crate overnight. He sees his crate as his safe space and often hangs out there during the day with the door open. Ben has made great strides in his house training and if kept on a schedule has been accident free! He is making progress with his leash skills and enjoys going for strolls around the neighborhood.

With his kind nature and gentle spirit, Ben is sure to bring warmth and joy to any home lucky enough to have him. Would yours be a good match?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
