My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Woof* I`m in a foster home! Meet me: novels.jesters_9@icloud.com

Whimsy is a quiet comfort at home and pure sparkle outside. She settles easily indoors, then flips a switch when it`s time to play, tug, or run with her dog friends. She`s affectionate, social, and a little hilariously convinced she belongs in your lap despite her size. She loves people.

You’ll hear her signature “tug growl” when she’s having the time of her life, and you’ll see her toddler-ish “look at me!” moments when she wants you to join the party. Under it all is a really big heart and a dog who wants to belong. Give her daily walks, a little play, and a home that enjoys her personality, and she will absolutely thrive.

More about this shelter

At the Humane Rescue Alliance, we honor more than 150 years of commitment to protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. HRA serves as a national leader and local champion for all animals.

With a people-focused, community-based approach, we treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Through our two campuses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, we are the largest animal services provider in our region – touching the lives of tens of thousands of animals annually through direct rescue, care, and community-based services. Our teams find solutions to both small and big problems, from providing direct care to an animal in crisis to tackling systemic barriers to affordable, pet-friendly housing.
